Metamorphosia (2024), visual art for the poster
Artist biography
Leonore Brunner was born in Lausanne in 1998. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Visual Arts from HEAD in Geneva in 2019, which she complemented with a Master's in Museology from the University of Neuchâtel in 2024. Her artistic approach focuses on exploring the image through sound. Concepts of texture, noise, harmony, repetition, and rhythm are at the core of her research. She aspires to create sensory experiences devoid of predefined images. Her work places significant emphasis on the relationship between places and the sensory complexities they can evoke. Leonore's sonic approach proposes a connection between the visual and the auditory, exploring the multiple dimensions of the imagination.
In 2022, she participated in a group exhibition at Espace Voltaire, where she presented her first live sound performance with her own scenography. Since then, she has continued her sound practice in various contexts, such as the Geneva Music Festival and an intervention at the Swiss Institute in Rome, in Palermo, in a duo with artist Julie Monot in 2023, as well as at the Arsenic in 2024. Additionally, Leonore embarked on a DJ practice in 2024 and offers sets at various venues for diverse events.
